RURAL LAND SALES IN TEXAS CONTINUE TO RISE

According to the latest numbers from the Texas Real Estate Research Center sales of rural land across the state for the second quarter of the year are almost 44% above 2020 statistics for the same period. Land prices have increased by over 16% in the second quarter alone. These trends may continue as more people are acting on their desires to acquire rural land in Texas.

Here in western Texas, recent rains have brought some relief to the years long drought and the country is responding well. A more typical monsoon season will hopefully ensue to green things up even more. Demand for land in the Big Bend and Highland country is only getting stronger and it is evident in the steady flow of interested buyers. We expect to see land prices start to rise once again as demand continues.
